THE BEST AVAILABLE SYSTEMS FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT AND REUSE

Myths & Facts – An Update to MBR Technologies

SINCE THE 1980's, Membrane Bioreactors (MBR) have been successfully used to treat municipal, commercial and industrial wastewaters for discharge and reuse applications. Today, with thousands of installations operating worldwide, MBR technology is shaping the way we view wastewater treatment and water conservation in the US and around the world.

Are you looking at treatment options for meeting tighter effluent requirements? If you’re considering solutions for the treatment and/or re-use of wastewater, we invite you to watch an important 3-minute movie from Enviroquip a Division of Eimco Water Technologies. Click here to learn more. Thank You!

Submerged in each MBR are membranes that physically reject pathogens and other suspended solids. However, it is the biological process that removes contaminants such as biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), nitrogen and phosphorus. As such, MBRs are generally only one part of a system that is designed to biologically treat wastewater.

As a provider of complete wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) since 1966, Enviroquip, Inc. understands that systems, not just components, must be easy to operate and reliable. This is why we have partnered with the Kubota Corporation to offer the most robust and operator-friendly submerged membrane unit (SMU) available on the market today. It is also the reason why we provide complete MBR Systems and not just membrane equipment.

At Enviroquip, our multidisciplinary staff draws on over forty years of experience to integrate state-of-the-art technologies into custom plants or pre-engineered packages (M-PAC™) to maximize energy efficiency, optimize process control and protect membrane equipment. Our goal is to provide our customers with comprehensive solutions to their wastewater problems.

OUR SERVICES

Enviroquip realizes that our continued success depends on customer satisfaction and ultimately, plant performance. We take great pride in providing superior design support during the engineering and construction phases of a project, and most importantly, in maintaining reliable after sale support. Using advanced remote monitoring technologies, Enviroquip stays in constant contact with our plant operators. Moreover, Enviroquip offers ongoing technical training through workshops and site visits to continuously update our customers and transfer new technical information. At Enviroquip, our reputation is built on providing quality service and innovative systems that last.

Some of the technical services we provide include the following:

Modeling Biohydraulics

Membrane performance in MBRs is dependent on proper biological performance as well as hydraulic design. This is why Enviroquip prepares an advanced spreadsheet model to simulate steady-state performance and in some cases a dynamic BioWin32® simulation to address diurnal flow and loading fluctuations. Both of these model types have been used to obtain operating permits from state and regional regulatory authorities.

Piping Design and Simulation

As proper plant hydraulics are critical to gravity operated MBR plants, PipeFlo® is used to simulate plant hydraulics and estimate piping losses. This same program is used to design and build semi-conductor manufacturing facilities, oilrigs and petroleum plants.

3-D Modeling & Rendering

For standard designs, and upon request, state-of-the-art design software is used to create three-dimensional renderings of new plants that can be used for planning, construction and training purposes.

Ongoing Technical Support & Remote Monitoring
Enviroquip provides technical support through remote monitoring and real-time trouble-shooting advice. Our complete Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)packages allow us to dial into a plant in order to provide immediate online support. Our EQLogix control system reduces trouble-shooting time while providing sophisticated controls with a simple-to-use interface.

Operator Workshops & Courses in MBR Operation
Enviroquip hosts an annual Workshop in Austin, TX where operators meet to exchange ideas and find out about the latest developments in MBR technology. In addition, several workshops are presented throughout the United States and in conjunction with WEFTEC that are CEU approved. Contact your local Enviroquip representative for more information about upcoming workshops and see our upcoming events.

M-PAC™
Several models of pre-engineered package plants are available to meet the demands of most applications.
